WISDOM CENTER

Ancient contemplative know-your-self methods, confirmed by modern brain science, are practiced and discussed to prompt and promote our full human heart/mind potential.  This class is intended for everyone interested in the benefits of meditation, beginners and non-beginners, alike. Learning, sharing and practicing together will naturally foster appreciation and understanding of ourselves and others, so we can make better moves in everything we do. This is the aspiration.

We will also discuss the relationship between western therapy and Buddhist practice. Topics will include whether or not vajrayana is appropriate for all people, especially certain personality types and psychological profiles.

What will be learned and discussed:
1) how to calm and tame the mind
2) how to increase awareness and compassion
3) how to find and understand the causes and cures of human suffering
4) how to help ourselves and others in troubled times, such as these.

Lama Lakshey Zangpo Rinpoche, founder of Tsinta Mani Choling, began his training as a spiritual master in Tibet, receiving the complete Khatok lineage empowerments and transmissions from Khatok Moktsa Rinpoche. Michael Burroughs is a knowledgeable and articulate teacher. As one of the first western students of the great Tibetan lamas Penor Rinpoche, Gangteng Rinpoche of Bhutan, Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, and Taklung Tsetrul Rinpoche, he brings a uncommon and vast array of understanding in a competent, yet humorous way.​
